Sustained Power Burn Expected;  ANR Storage Rate Relief in Sight

Temperatures in the Midcon are on the upswing this week, increasing cooling-related power demand.  Last week, power demand hit a record high of 6.8 Bcf/d and near-term temperatures are projected to be 5 degrees above normal.  Total demand will again inch toward 11 Bcf/d early this week and is expected to remain above 10 Bcf/d for the next two weeks , only dipping below that over the weekends.  The sustained demand should support Midcon citygate prices, though malaise could weaken expectations.
