GULF PRODUCTION MONITOR: August 27, 2008 Tropical Storm Gustav is projected to be in the Central Gulf offshore Louisiana as a hurricane by Monday morning (see storm track map bottom of p. 2). Significant production shut-ins should take place as a result of Gustav. However, production remains fairly steady today, as it has been for more than a week. A number of offshore pipelines, including those owned by Enbridge and Sonat, already have warned of potential force majueres because of the storm. EMF Energy Visuals™:
Interactive Data that Provides Understanding

What are the major changes in energy flows from yesterday to today? How is natural gas pipeline capacity being utilized? Where are capacity constraints developing? How is natural gas storage being used?

Get answers to these and many more questions instantly without pouring over detailed spreadsheets and reports.

With the Energy Market Fundamentals (EMF) Energy Visuals package you get interactive, dynamic maps and graphics that indicate changes in energy flows, capacities and pricing. Energy Visuals let you quickly see:

How does BENTEK Energy do it?

Energy Visuals maps extract data from our Energy Data Warehouse, summarize it into meaningful segments, then create graphical components from those data segments.

For example, the direction of gas flows is indicated by arrows which change in size depending on the change in the magnitude of flow from one day to the next. Changes in price differentials between hub locations are shown by triangles – the larger the change, the larger the triangle. Increases point up and are shown in green, decreases point down and are shown in red. Similar graphical elements help visualize pipeline capacity utilization, storage utilization and other aspects of the natural gas market at a glance.
