GULF PRODUCTION MONITOR: August 27, 2008 Tropical Storm Gustav is projected to be in the Central Gulf offshore Louisiana as a hurricane by Monday morning (see storm track map bottom of p. 2). Significant production shut-ins should take place as a result of Gustav. However, production remains fairly steady today, as it has been for more than a week. A number of offshore pipelines, including those owned by Enbridge and Sonat, already have warned of potential force majueres because of the storm. BENTEK Special Reports

BENTEK Retainer Service
"I" of the Storm™

A series of unprecedented events are about to jolt the supply and demand balance in the Southeast/Gulf region, the most complex producing, pricing and pipeline delivery network in North America.

A comprehensive service from BENTEK covering current natural gas pipeline capacity and market developments in the Southeast/Gulf Region will help you understand how these events will unfold.

Starting in January 2008, gas flows in North America entered into a new era, driven by a level of infrastructure investment in the Southeast-Gulf region that the industry has not experienced in decades. Almost thirty natural gas pipeline, storage, and LNG terminal projects will be coming online over the next two years that will shift flow patterns, disrupt regional pricing relationships and realign the value of firm transportation capacity across the pipeline grid.

To provide insight into these developments, BENTEK is initiating a new retainer service that will include:

1. A three-part "I" of the Storm™ market alert series that will examine the impact of the new capacity on current gas markets with a focus on gas flows and price implications. Please reference BENTEK's REX Market Alert series as an example of the scope and breadth of this report series.

2. BENTEK's new Southeast/Gulf Observer™, a daily/weekly Energy Market Fundamentals Analytics report that monitors pipeline flows, capacities, supply/demand, expansions, pipeline notices, and other key aspects of the Southeast/Gulf market. Included with this report is a Premium Market Model from BENTEK that provides the raw data behind the analysis of the Southeast/Gulf Observer™.

3. A Webcast series by senior BENTEK analysts reviewing key developments in the "I" of the Storm™ report series and the Southeast/Gulf Observer™.

The "I" of the Storm™ Retainer Service is not included in any current BENTEK subscription package. For more information, please email info@bentekenergy.com, call 1-800-364-5687 or contact your BENTEK sales representative.
