Backlog of more than 1,000 non-producing implied wells will keep dry natural gas production growing in the northern Marcellus through at least 2013

BENTEK's Northeast Production Monitor reports more than 1 Bcf/d of new natural gas pipeline delivery capacity to the Transco Pipeline is due to come online in the dry northern Marcellus in the next month. While only 0.4 Bcf/d of incremental natural gas can flow on Transco due to capacity constraints, the TGP Northeast Supply Diversification and National Fuel Northern Access infrastructure expansions in November will help boost overall production moving out of the region.

As a result of this additional takeaway capacity, BENTEK's Northeast Production Monitor puts incremental dry gas production growth in Northeast Pennsylvania at approximately 0.9 Bcf/d through January 2013.

The recent dry gas production growth in the northern Marcellus is being supported by high IP rates out of Susquehanna and Wyoming counties in Pennsylvania as producers focus drilling more toward the core of their acreage. New infrastructure in Northeast Pennsylvania will help alleviate the backlog of the non-producing well inventory, which recent Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection data confirms is approximately 1,000.

Key features of BENTEK's Northeast Production Monitor:

• Six-month forward look at projected average monthly natural gas production and flow samples for major producing areas of the Northeast, including the Marcellus

• Five-year natural gas production projections for major basins in the Northeast, broken out by state

• Detailed Marcellus information including rig counts, new well production and well IP rates

The Northeast Market Call provides the crucial insight needed to make forward-looking decisions on the Northeast natural gas market. This monthly report offers a three-year Northeast basis forecast through a sector-by-sector analysis of the underlying factors that drive the regional market, including production, storage and demand.

The Northeast Observer offers daily analysis of regional drilling activity in the Marcellus, supply and demand trends and basis analysis for key Northeast markets.

BENTEK's full line of natural gas Production Monitors provide regional, basin-specific analysis of drilling and production in the U.S. and Canada, including five-year production forecasts, drilling economics and pages dedicated to BPI rig activity data.
